At the heart of Kaltern, you can look forward not only to exceptional wines, but also to our unique craft brewery. The only South Tyrolean brewery south of Bolzano is housed in the cellars of Moser winery. Every week, we head into the beer and wine cellar with our guests and then sample the products of our craftsmanship. Definitely an insider recommendation!
“As a very small craft brewery, we’ve taken the liberty of playing with flavours. As a basis, we take inspiration from German classics like Helles, Weizen, and Märzen, as well as pale ale or barley wine. We then refine these in our own, special way. Also, our beer isn’t filtered or pasteurised, which gives it a more intensive, natural taste,” says cellar master Gerhard Sanin. The local mountain, Mt Mendola/Mendel, supplies the water needed, and some of the hops are harvested from our own hop field between Eppan and Kaltern. Regionality and sustainability play a part in our beer brewing, too.
